West Star’s reputation has expanded significantly in the GTA, “Doctors” or “Sultans of Skate” are some of the nicknames assigned to their business. The knowledgeable and expert staff have excelled in customer service. West Star ran a simple HTML site for a long time, and as their business expanded they thought it was time to change the outdated website and capitalize on online audiences. They approached SLK to develop a new custom responsive website that would inform consumers about the many services and expertise they provide at their store.

The project started by designing a new logo for their business, focusing on custom colors that symbolize action and sports, and pulling original graphics that stand out. From there we worked on integrating the logo colors into the design of the website and complementing that with a slideshow featuring high-resolution photography, visually representing the excitement of hockey. The design for West Star Athletics offers viewers a great experience with efficient navigation and imagery that highlights their expertise and talent. This vibrant new website has become key in bringing in new business and keeping loyal customers up to date. SLK continues to host, secure and maintain their systems and are proud that our work relationship with West Star as we continue to grow together.

Finally, adequate website security measures are used to protect the website from viruses and online snoopers. This protects the website's database and the information of its users.
